mommy1986 (248.3 days ago)I think it`s a very important item to have, I`m going to get one for my baby.
It keeps your child in safe positions at an early age and can prevent crib death that`s caused by wrong sleeping positions.
sgtoodles (257.7 days ago)2 close friends used them and loved them. But another friend`s baby could get out of it by the time he was 3 weeks old! he would end up perpendicular to it, thus it did no good. I`ve read things on the SIDS websites and they say positioners do not prevent SIDS and its recommended to have nothing inthe crib with baby. I am due in March and will not use one.
erphn (258.1 days ago)Waste of money. The important thing with sleep position is that you put them down on their back! Babies have been known to tilt to the side a bit - that`s okay. Anyways, once baby can roll to their tummy (in 4-5 months) they`re useless (of course you still should put him/her down on their back)!
ktb (258.5 days ago)I have seen/used one with a couple babies that I used to watch. Don`t waste your money. IF you are that concerned about the baby`s sleep position use some of the baby blankets you have - roll them up and put one on either side of them. I have found that my kids slept how they wanted to regardless of how I laid them down to sleep.
jeanette (258.5 days ago)they`re really made for co-sleeping. Their main purpose is to keep the baby in place and prevent you from rolling ontop of him. If you`re gonna use a crib, then don`t bother.
threeangelsofmine (258.5 days ago)i had one with both my previous kids and i am definately going to be using one this time around too. i love it. as long as you use it right it shouldn`t cause any harm to your baby.
monica9 (258.7 days ago)im using one so my baby doesnt turn over
cko1522 (258.8 days ago)I`ve read they can do more harm than good. I`m not getting one for my baby...but if you are going to have the baby in your bed, I`d get one. I`m having mine in a baisnet then a crib with no positioner.
Spencerbaby1 (258.8 days ago)ive read u shouldnt have anything in the crib with the baby. but they could be good if the baby wont sleep on their back so you can prop them up on their side. just keep it down away from their face!
second-time-mummy (258.8 days ago)a what?
