I think it would most definitely be appropriate to do something special. Last pregnance, we took my baby shower hostess and her family out to eat. I think it all depends on the person you are doing it for when deciding what, though. MAybe a nice gift basket or something that is in season at the time... (??)

im not. my sisters and mother are giving it to me, but i will definitely stand up and give a thank you speech!

Yes, I definitely did. Putting on a shower is hard work and can be pretty costly. I had two showers, got one hostess a gift certificate for two to a nice restaraunt. I gave the hostesses of the other shower warm fuzzy socks and chanille blankets. Potted plant is a good idea too.

I hadn`t even thought about it, but now I think that I definitely should. I mean, she`s doing a lot of work. It`s my sister, so maybe I`ll find something `Aunt` related.
