I`m not sure what will happen, but I`ve had two and I certainly did not want to for a while. You will bleed for several weeks, and if you tore or were cut, you will have stitches. After you feel better and the doc give you the ok, you are good to go- usually around 6 weeks.

you have to wait until your doc ok`s it..usually at your 6 week check up..your body needs time to heal...

You need to allow your body time to heal ~ 6 weeks is standard ~ Hunter is 3.5 months old and we`ve yet to have sex ~ still bleeding or spotting. After my 2nd via VBAC we had sex less than 5 times a year ~ it hurt terribly ~ you just need to heal ~ if you dont you chance infection and pain. Plus you are probably bleeding ~ so cant any how ~

I went against doctors orders and had sex exactly 4 weeks after having my baby. I tore so it hurt SO bad! I cried the whole time, and went to sleep with an icepack in my pjs! My daughter just turned 6 months and it still hurts to have sex. Just where the stitches were, so this may be tmi, but it only hurts going in because it presses on that area.

i think you have to wait 6 weeks due to your body healing! TMI after my 1st baby me and hubby only waited 2 weeks and it was very painful due to the stitches and swelling!

you are suposed to wait 6 weeks. it takes time for stitches to heal and you cervix to go back to normal PLUS you will have some brusing inside and out..it will hurt alot..it just makes more sence to wait! i know women who have don it to early and had no problems..and i know some who did it too early and months later still have pain during sex! so i guess it just depends.

you`ve gotta fit a grapefruit through a toilet paper roll. It`s suprizing to me that women ever have sex again.

a friend of my mine had sex 3 weeks after because her hubby came back from overseas and she said it hurt and she was scared her stitches were going to tear!
