I never got pills before pitcion they gave me a gel that they put on there fingers and then wiped the inside of my vagina with it.

The pill is actually a suppository put near your cervix to soften it. I had two kinds. I forgot the name of one, cervidil is the other. The first one was left in for 12 hours and could be removed if it needed to be. The other I had because the first didn`t ripen my cervix enough. I think it was in for 4 hours but it couldn`t be removed if it needed to be for some reason. Then after that I was given the pitocin intravenously.

I Googled some stuff and saw that women were given iron pills with their Pitocin as well as Pitocin in pill format prior to receiving it intravenously.

Pitocin is basically sudo Oxytocin Oxytocin is the real labor hormone that flows naturally in our bodys. Pitocin starts the uterine (uterus) contractions, not cervical contractions like Cytotec does.
