elmera (247.1 days ago)hi
it certainly sounds like thrush/yeast infection see your doc for some cream! also what some people find helps is to rub a little breastmilk on your nipples after baby has fed, and try and leave your breasts bare for a hour or so a day if possible. i CAN tell you as a mum who has fed 5 babies so far and as a breastfeeding counsellor... it DOES get better, i promise!!
mia (247.3 days ago)try putting lanolin on your nipples, it is a cream you can find in the baby aisle at pretty much any store...target, babies r us, etc!
kater (247.5 days ago)it may be you have thrush, i had some problems early on with my daughter, and my SIL said i probably had thrush, although i didn`t, it turned out she wasn`t attaching quite properly. i got so sore i ended up expressing for about 6 weeks, till i felt confident feeding, and after that, she latched perfectly and i never had any problems after that. if it is not thrush, speak to a breastfeeding consultant who may have the answer. good luck
erphn (247.5 days ago)thrush...not thrust! HA! my bad!
erphn (247.6 days ago)Definitely sounds like thrust - go see your doc. Make sure you and baby both get treated.
zenzabar (247.6 days ago)sounds like thrush, is your baby`s tongue white? call your doctor.
kozzy (247.6 days ago)It gets easier. Before you feed your baby express a little first so your not too full. This helped alleviate the soreness during the first month of breastfeeding for both my babies. As far as the itchy feeling it goes away eventually. Just give it time.
