With my first I started getting them around 20 weeks- this one I started about 17 weeks. With my first baby I only got them at first when I was teaching an aerobocs class, and I`d usually have 2 or so a class. I`m 28 weeks with this one and I get one every time I stand up- interesting how your body prepares itself. I did have a fairly short labor with my first baby too.

Not everyone gets them. I started getting them at Week 26. Initially, they felt like what Jess G experienced but now I`m 34 Weeks and they 1) take my breath away and 2) occur every time I stand up. But the contractions haven`t been `life-altering`. I still work, etc. And, they`re more frequent in the evenings for some reason.

i havent had any yet and i am 25 weeks. my friend started getting them at 24 weeks. they got stronger as she got further along. she said they didnt hurt at first, but then started to, but nothing like real labor pains.

Jess G (200.4 days ago)
Your whole stomach tightens up...rock hard...it doesn`t really hurt(like real contractions do)...some don`t bother you at all...other can be strong and they can be uncomfortable. My strong ones would just stop me where I was until it was over...I`d just breathe right thru them and go on...

christy (200.4 days ago)
those of you that had them ealy on how did they feel?

Jess G (200.4 days ago)
I was 34 weeks when I remember starting to get them...I don`t recall any before then...but they got bad at 34 weeks...I spent the next 5 weeks with very frequent, strong BH....
