sunshinelds (235.1 days ago)My friend was induced a week after her due date and then she had to deliver c-section because her body just wasn`t ready to be induced yet.
caitlin h (237.9 days ago)I was induced- had the baby 6 hrs after they started pitocin- and i was only at 1 cm and no effacement when i came in. GO FOR THE EPIDURAL! My baby was alert and awake when he came out- looking at me immediately- so seems like no harm done! ps i got the epidural right away- I was like 2 cm, and it didn`t stop it at all
baby34me (240.9 days ago)I had 2 inductions...first one 18 hours and YES the epi is a must! 2nd, about 16 hours and again the epi!
summerisis (242.2 days ago)Well Jess... It looks like a craps shoot. I`ll blow on the dice and wish you lucky 7`s for a awesome induction... if necessary.
leahs (242.3 days ago)I was induced with gel and pitocin with my 1st child,I had no problem with it at all. My 2nd I went into labor on my own,my 3rd they induced me by breaking my water, that was all it took. All my labors were drug free and I didn`t notice any difference in the pain level. I think because I give birth so quickly that even when I wasn`t induced it happened so quick it was like I was induced. Unfortunately inducing may seem more painful so more women are given epidurals which almost seems to counteract the induction and makes it last longer. I would suggest if you must be induced to wait as long as you can for an epidural, best of luck.
RobinG (242.4 days ago)Inductions can be much harder more painful labors so going into labor is preferred unless you can`t wait. And if you are induced and your body not ready to labor there is an increased risk of a failed induction and a section ~ I was induced and the pain was brutal ~ I had to be given something to sleep because it was to soon for the epi and I was in pain so badly. I had the epi and wouldnt have it any other way. I was induced on a Wed morning and delivered Friday morning. I had pitocinand cervidil.
Jaclyn82 (242.4 days ago)Hey! My dr. broke my water and started me on pitocin. I had a lot of back labor that was not fun, but it wasnt bad for me. I did ask for an epi, and once i had that it was great. All together i was in labor about 18 hours. Pushed like 8 times and my daughter was out. The only thing was her heart rate started to drop so i had to use oxygen. Other then that things went great. I would do it again. I am due in August and hope to go into labor on my own. But being induced doesnt scare me at all. GOOD LUCK!
sam11-17 (242.5 days ago)went in at 5 am, started pitocin at 6, didnt feel much, broke my water at 9am, started to really feel contractions, got the epi, dialated from a 5 to a 9 in and hour and pushed out a baby girl at 1:59pm, i would do it over again in a sec, everything went smooth
