Well jus got checked today @ my 36 weeks visit and im not dilated @ at all!!!! So my docotr checks me @ 36 weeks. Thanx for the comment mommies! thats weird that all doctors are a lil different. Good luck 2 all yall!

My Dr. just told me at my last appointment that they do not check you until you are in labor, that`s at my Dr.s office.

My dr started checking at 37 weeks. It hurt more than anything I could have imagined!!! I had my daughter at 38 weeks, and everytime they had to check me in the hospital it was torture! That was the absolute worst part of labor and delivery for me! I was stuck at less than 4 cm most of the day, so it was very painful! I`m not looking forward to that again!

My doc is checking me at 34... it`s weird how each doctor does thing differently.

My docs never checked was about 39-40 weeks. Unless I thought I was having contractions then they did but typically not til you are near your due date if at all ~ some wait til you are in labor ~

i`m 35wks-2days and had my appt yesterday and they didnt check...

Unfortunately my doctor has told me that he does not check for dilation or effacement unless absolutely necessary because all it does is upset you if nothing is happening.
