aprilqueen (181.4 days ago)MY MOM AND DAD WOULD GIVE MY NEPHEW A DOLLAR ANY TIME HE DID AND HE LEARNED VERY QUICKLY.
mommythethird (186.7 days ago)We used m & m`s with my first and candy corns with the second. They got one for pee and two for poo. I didn`t allow them to ever have candy up until this point though, so it worked well. When I tried this with my nephew, he had already had candy and he really didn`t care about the reward. Good luck.

Cindy.Nov28 (187.2 days ago)Thank you all so much for leaving comments. We are willing to try anything and you all had good suggestions. We know exactly when he is getting ready to `go` because he goes behind the dining room chair. When I tell him he needs to go on the potty, he just says, `I can`t.` Maybe it`s because at one point he was constipated for awhile. That was several months ago though. Well, we`ll keep working on it. Thanks again.
tto (187.6 days ago)My son needed us to just leave him alone in the bathroom. I`m not sure why, but he just needed some peace. That worked.
kater (187.8 days ago)i also had this problem with my daughter. we were getting so frustrated, until one day i said to her `its not fair mummy has to wash the poo from your undies, next time, you`ll have to help me` well next time, she helped me and was really grossed out and never did it again. my mum said i was mean for doing this, but it was after months of trying rewards, bribes ect with no success. i think the problem with my daughter was that she just got so involved with whatever she was doing, she couldn`t bear to leave it and go to sit on a boring old toilet!
baby34me (188.3 days ago)Well, from years of experiance working in a day care, would say just back off for a week or two. You can mention it when he wants to do something, say stuff like ...well, big boys that poop in the potty get too. But for the most part, just relax the idea and don`t say much about it. When he ralizes its not so much of a big deal he may decide on his own to just go. Maybe not too though. You never know. They all go at there own pace.
threeangelsofmine (188.3 days ago)with my son (he was also 3) we made sure to take him to the potty 30 mins after he ate to `poop` and he was able to put 2 stickers on the chart he had decorated that was hanging up on the wall for all to see. now as far as wiping afterwards go i have no clue, LOL he is 4 now and we still have to wipe him after he is done doing the deed. good luck i know potty training is tough!
summerisis (188.3 days ago)I had the same results at Robin G with a little girl that peed the bed. Once she had to change the sheets, it never happened again. I agree with Jgirl though, watching your child`s cues for eliminating can work wonders.
RobinG (188.3 days ago)with her ``son`` I ment, and did not ``didn``, lol
RobinG (188.3 days ago)REady for this? lol ~ my sis had the same problem with her doc, they tried EVERYTHING, even having him walk around naked and gasy stinking cause she KNEW he had to go but he`d refuse ~ finally doc suggested making him clean his own bottom after he poops ~ after the 2nd time of cleaning himself, washing up etc etc after he said mommy thats yucky and she said yes it is thats why I want you to use the potty and he didn ~ never an accident again.
natalie74 (188.3 days ago)Try feeding while on the potty i know it sounds a bit errrrrr but it can help it helped us good luck ????
jgirl (188.3 days ago)I had an easy time with my son... He started peeing on the potty all on his own by 18 months. But we helped him poop on the potty just by noticing when he acted a certain way. For instance, he would usually stand in a corner or against a wall and be really quiet and look kinda tense. So whenever we saw him like that way we would say `To the potty! Quick!` and he eventually related that feeling to the potty and would run to the potty. Now at 22 months he tells us `doodoo` and grabs a book and we just follow him and read a story while he does his business :)
