HillaryB (1458.9 days ago) I`m facing the same problem. This is me and my husbands 1st child together, but he already has 3 by his first wife. 15,9,6 They are very excited, but as far (playmate)I just figured that i would play with her until she gets in school.Me and my sister are 9 years apart also.(and I`m the baby)
joyfulnoise (1459.8 days ago) We are having our 4th baby. Our oldest is 14, then we have a 9 year old and a 5 year old. I love the age differences in our children. They are still close, love playing with each other and I think they just enjoy the age differences. They are very understanding of each other. The older ones get a kick out of the younger ones. My home never seems chaotic, like my friends who`ve had their kids all very close together and I wouldn`t change a thing!
RobinG (1459.8 days ago) I see you are having him come while you are having your section. Thats the only thing I would change. When my third was born hubby brought the kids up later that evening after my section. Sometimes you can feel good sometimes you can feel not so good and it may upset him being young seeing you feel not so good. Plus I couldnt wait for hubby to bring them home and come back another day because it was harder for a little one to sit still near me on the bed or bumping things etc and everytime he did it cause me pain. I would suggest you have a family member or friend bring him up later that day once you know how you feel etc. Vaginal is one thing but sections can effect you in so many ways, even if it is repeat. RobinG (1459.9 days ago) When my 2nd was born my 1st was almost 5 and they are SO close he was such a big help ~ and they are very close ~ having an older child when another is born is so much easier then a toddler. Becuase you can reason with them. As long as you still have special time with him it will be great! My 2nd was 7 was Hunter was born and they both are so awesome with our third :)
jbbates (1459.9 days ago) When I had my 2nd child my oldest was 4 and I was a bit worried how he would do....well he was the biggest help he was involved with feeding, bringing me diapers and wipes, helping me bath the baby and I was so surprised. So don`t get worried he being 5 will understand and more than likely want to help mommy with baby. That made me oldest feel so big.
