I don`t think you can give too much credence to the guesstimations that doctors and U/S techs make when they attempt to determine baby size. Just ask any mother whose child was a `certain` weight at week 38 or 40 and when the baby was born, the weight was off by up to 3 lbs...

My baby weighed 5 1/2 pounds at 36 weeks. My doctor said this was on the small side but wasn`t worried. Babies gain about 1/2 pound per week so that would make your baby just over 7 pounds at 40 weeks. My doctor just said that I make smaller babies and there was no need to worry. You should ask your doctor if you are really concerned.

i think that prob about right... i had one at 37w who was estimated to be 11lb so i was induced and she was 10lb 7oz lol

Well, if your baby gains a pound a week this last month, you`d have a 9 pounder! Isn`t that the average gain the last month?

  5. Some weird things have been happening today, and I`m afraid I`m just working myself up. First, I went potty this morning, and after I was done peeing, I had another small amount of liquid come out. Not sure if it was pee. Then, my c-sect incision from my last baby started hurting really bad. (I had the c-sect 10 mo`s ago, and I`m a little over 32 weeks now) However, the incision feels fine now. Should I go get checked out?
