I had an all natural birth 7 months ago (again pregnant with #2 at 12 weeks :)) and I had a wonderful experience. Right after, I told my hubby that I could do it again and in fact, wanted to. The feeling that I had afterward was one of `I want to do that again!` I think it`s kind of like when you do an enormous workout- it hurts and then afterwards you feel awesome and so you want to exercise more. It was not that painful. In fact, I have had worse menstrual cramps, which were pretty bad. That was probably my biggest `labor help,` I already knew how to deal with that type of pain. My hardest labor time was between 3-4 cm and then after that was easy to cope. I got to labor in a jetted tub (would HIGHLY recommend). The two most painful times during the entire episode were when I tore (but it just lasts a couple of seconds, so it`s not that bad..) and then AFTER the baby was out and they knead your stomach to help your uterus shrink, right after the delivery of the placenta. That hurt the worst. Overall, I had a good experience, and am looking forward to feeling all that labor stuff again. I thought it was cool that my body did all that stuff.

Both of mine were different ..both natural, i labored for 21 hours with my first at 16 years old!!! 12 hours of hard labor..had an epidural and was in heaven......i pushed for three hours with not alot of progress..i was completely numb and couldn`t feel to push..they used the vacum on her head to get her out.........second labor was induced..lasted about 7 hour...got a spinal numbed the pain but when it was time to push it FELT EVERYTHING!!!!i tried to waitit out to not have drugs...but there is no point in being in that much pain when ther is somehthing that can be done!!!!wish you the best of luck....but all our stories will not be yours they are all different.....tell us how it goes!!!

i have had 5 natural births and planning my 6th. they where very intense and the pain was like nothing i could ever imagine BUT, i stayed moving the whole time which helps soooo much and remained positive and open minded throughout. i found swaying my hips the best thing during contractions and this also helps baby move down. the contractions where definately the worst bit and pushing was almost a relief in a strange way. oh and when you get to the bit where you totally feel like you are NEVER gonna get that baby out and you cant do it anymore... then your baby is almost here. when i got like that with all of mine i remember my hubby saying..`ok, lets forget it and go home` wanted to hit him with something big and hard at the time but funny to think after.best thing to remember... no matter how bad it gets, it wont last forever and you get the best prize for all your efforts afterwards. good luck

I went into heavy labor pains just minutes after the doctor broke my water. They lasted about an hour and a half before I felt the urge to push. Then I pushed for 45 minutes and I had a beautiful baby boy : ) The labor pains were the worst part... First I got in a hot bath until I couldn`t sit comfortably anymore, then I just kept walking around. I didn`t cry or anything, I just kind of accepted it and dealt with it. I felt like it went by really really fast... Then the pushing didn`t really hurt. Pushing actually stopped the pain... It was just a lot of pressure and frustration trying to get into a good position. Laying on my back was the worst. I had to squat to get a momentum going. Hope that helps! I didn`t have any drugs or epidurals or anything... I was really proud of myself afterward and I still am. I plan to do it the same way with my second baby : )

I had an all natural birth 6 months ago. And I would do it exactly the same next time! Although I did have a shot of stadol to help with sleeping. As long as you can control yourself with your breathing, it is the best pain reliever! I would DEFINATELY reccomend a doula. And also, sit in the shower...I let the water hit right under my belly and I almost couldn`t even feel the contractions. They broke my water at 7 cm. and I couldn`t handle the contractions so I had a half a shot of stadol it didn`t take them away, they still hurt like hell, but it made me a little happier during them (kindof!). It really is the best experience...I can`t wait to do it again. Well, maybe a little! :) I have my birth story up, you can read it if you want. It`s long and very detailed. Best of luck with everything!
