Other-poll poll For those of you with hypothryroidism, did you gain a lot of weight during your pregnancy? Did you have trouble losing it after delivery? I didn`t gain too much with my 1st preg, and so far so good on this one. However, I did have trouble with putting weight back on a few months after birth. As you may know, it`s normal for your thyroid levels to change - especially during and after preg. It`s hard to cope with! I was just wondering how many others have this issue and your thoughts on it. (How ofter does your dr. check your levels before and during preg. also?)

I have Hashimoto`s hypoMy doc took my synthtroid up from .088 to .150 and I have gained almost 40 lbs (at 37 weeks). Hope I can lose it after! My doc also checked my levels every month until the 2nd half of pregnancy. Then he said my hormones would`ve leveled out and only needed to see me every other month. Staying on a higher dose of meds after the birth might help you lose some weight. Good luck!

  1. Does anyone have a baby with a double-first name? Like David-James? My friend wants to give her baby a double name but she isn`t sure how to fill it out on the birth certificate. She wants it to be David-James and that is what she will call him but she also wants to give him a middle name. Does she need to put a hyphen? We would appreciate any help with this as no one seems to know. Thanks
