leahs (182 days ago)Make sure you ask the nurse to massage your perineum,(most will but some don`t bother). And when the babies head is crowning most people urge is to just push really hard to get it out, if you try panting instead the head will slide out slower and you`ll have less chance of ripping. I also heard having a water birth and being in an upright position while birthing is the best thing to avoid tears.
zenzabar (182.2 days ago)My sister just had her 2nd and she didn`t tear this time. She tore a few places with her first. Best of luck:)

mlmmdjm (182.2 days ago)I had to have an episiotomy both births and am planning for another. Both of my labors were over 20 hours so it wasn`t like it was so fast there was no time for stretching. If you tore badly the first time maybe you can ask for an episiotomy so there is less trauma `down there`. Best of luck to you.
