mandiful (217.2 days ago)I think that tto said it the best. I don`t know what my babies were at 20 weeks pregnant, but they are and have been in the 90th percentile since birth. They were both 9 lbs. Their dr explained that it meant that only 10% of children their age are bigger and about 89% are smaller.
butterblocksmom (218.3 days ago)Here are some sites which might help as well....
http://www.ob-ultrasound.net/ and http://www.babycenter.com/average-fetal-length-weight-chart
tto (219 days ago)I`m a teacher and we use percentiles constantly. A percentile means- how your child is compared to 99 other peers of the same age, etc. So average is 25- 75th percentile. 52nd is smack in the middle. You`ll hear more percentiles as your child grows and in school too. Does this make sense?
mlmmdjm (219.1 days ago)He`s right on track.
startingover (219.3 days ago)i`m pregnant with a boy and at 20 weeks he was 15 oz... they said he was a BIG BOY! :) He also had really long legs.
amberandjoshsbaby (219.8 days ago)at 22 weeks my lil one weighed 15 oz. It sounds like ur lil one is jus like a couple oz off of bn jus right. Boys are usually bigger than girls!
shenah03 (219.8 days ago)my kiddo was measuring over a pound at wk 20 u/s but is now just 6 1/2 lbs at wk 37. weight can fluctuate.
mommacane3 (219.9 days ago)50th percentile is average.
above is larger
lower is smaller
njstewy (219.9 days ago)my little girl was at 10 oz at 20 weeks (girls tend to be smaller) but at my last u/s at 29weeks she was 3lb 2oz. .amazing how much weight they put on
teenMOMMIE (219.9 days ago)i dont know how much my baby weighed then, but at 19 weeks she was 11oz.
jgirl (219.9 days ago)You`re lucky! My son was always in the 90 something percentile! He was always so big in comparison...
summerisis (219.9 days ago)50th percentile would be EXACTLY AVERAGE. You`re baby is measuring a little bigger than average but nothing to even give a second thought.
