TNMom (1440.2 days ago) I have no problem with a shower for every baby, but I think it`s more needful if there`s been quite a gap between kids where you don`t have the baby stuff anymore or if the first was one sex and you know the next will be the other sex.
absoluties (1440.6 days ago) anyone wants to throw me a shower?
I`m almost going to throw one for myself :( sucks living away from family and friends!
browniemama (1440.6 days ago) I had multiple showers for baby #1 & #2 and will probably have the same for baby #3. I think having a baby is a reason to celebrate & if people want to have a shower for you, you should accept! :) CELEBRATE LIFE ALWAYS!!
bellybumbles (1441.1 days ago) i think it`s becoming more commonplace...especially if there`s a significant difference in age or if you`re having a baby that`s the opposite gender of what you had the first time. Good luck & Congrats!
Ady,May,And1OnTheWay (1441.4 days ago) Good question, I just found out I am pregnant and was wondering the same thing. My daughter is only 7 months, so I wasn`t planning a 2nd, but if someone wants to throw me one, I won`t object. I have a feeling it`s gonna be a boy...so if it is, we`re going to have a `boy shower` Where people bring boy clothes and stuff that my daughter wouldn`t be able to pass down.
momofboys (1441.5 days ago) I don`t think the age difference between your children matters at all. You could have given birth to a boy a year ago, and now having a girl. All the boy stuff won`t necessarily work for a girl. A baby shower is a celebration of a new life.
mlmmdjm (1441.5 days ago) I had a shower with my first not the second. I am hoping this time someone throws another, we didn`t plan for any more (mine are 7+4) and last summer we gave almost everything to charity. I have a lot of baby clothes since I kept them for my kids to see when they are bigger. As for the rest all we have left is the crib. I have every intention of buying what we need for this baby but it would be so nice to have a shower and be helped out with the big stuff.
magnolia76 (1441.6 days ago) I think each baby should be celebrated, no matter if it`s the 1st or the 4th
jbbates (1441.7 days ago) I`m prego with my 3rd and all my kids are about 3 1/2 yrs apart and I`ve had a baby shower every time. I don`t think there is anything wrong with it. My family and friends were all excited to shower me and my children with gifts. Though I did not ask for someone to have a shower for me they just wanted to. Good luck to you!
julie80 (1441.7 days ago) I agree with the first two comments. It does depend on how old ur first one is. My daughter will be ten when i have the second baby so i am going to have a baby shower. Because styles and safty changes have been made and plus I have donated all my baby stuff to needy family because i thought i was done having children.
Nan639 (1441.7 days ago) I agree with the previous comment. My daughter will be 3 1/2 when #2 arrives. I have everything I need from when she was a baby (except clothes). I can`t imagine asking for or expecting a shower.
monica9 (1441.7 days ago) depends on how old your first is. I wouldnt have one if my first was 1-5 years old, but after that age its not that bad to have a small shower. I wouldnt go crazy with a blow out one though. good luck
