mommacane3 (165.3 days ago)the fact that your baby sleeps 12 hours is worrisome to me, however all of my children have slept on thier tummies since birth. i personally dont believe sids is caused by tummy sleeping, however, if shes strong enough to roll over, shes strong enough to lift her head if she can breathe
miss.rubletz (166.4 days ago)it ok! The doctor ask that you dont put your babies to bed on their tummy however when they get to the point where they are able to do it on there own you should let it be, do not correct it and put her back on to her back when she is sleeping.
absoluties (166.6 days ago)In my mother`s days, they put the baby to sleep on the tummy, with the head to the side. She doesn`t know of any incidents. just keep an eye on her. Also, this way, she will have a better shaped head, not a flat iron in the back of it :)
ready (170.4 days ago)My oldest son will be 10 in a few days. I have never been able to make him sleep on his back. Even now. I scared me at first. I learned to live with it. He was just fine.
tiredmommy (171.6 days ago)I had this same worry with my daughter! I was paranoid about SIDS!!! The dr said once she can roll over though, she has the strength to roll back over or move when she`s in a position where she`s not getting enough air. So I let her be, and she was fine. I still woke up and checked on her though - out of habit. That`s great she`s sleeping 12 hours already!
Nan639 (171.7 days ago)Once they start rolling...it`s out of your hands! She`ll be fine. :)
*bree;; (171.9 days ago)i bought a sleep positioner, so i hope that will help any turns and stuff :/
spencerbaby1 (172 days ago)by 4 months she will be able to turn her head if something is blocking her airway. she will be fine
skstarnes (172 days ago)Have you tried a sleep positioner. You can see them at babiesrus.com Good Luck!
erphn (172 days ago)Nope! Just put her down on her back - if she rolls she rolls. She`ll be fine.
