Pregnancy-poll poll I went for an ultrasound today and my baby is 4lbs 9 ounces and I am 35 weeks. Does this sound small to you?

I had my baby at 36 weeks and he weighed 5lbs 2 oz and was very healthy!!!! Your baby is just right.

These guesses are not accurate, I agree. With my last baby I had an Ultrasound at 38 weeks 2 actually and both said my baby was over 10lbs! My dr induced me 10 days early and I gave birth to a 9lb 5oz baby boy. So see even with an ultrasound these measurments are NOT accurate.

Average is 4 pounds at 32 Weeks and a half pound each week thereafter so that would be 5.5 pounds at 35 Weeks. Like another woman said though, they are off by a percentage. I was told 20% today.. you`re only off by 11%... no big deal.

the weights that they give you are usually off by about a pound. You are right on track

magnolia76 (212.7 days ago)
5 pounds is about the average weight for 35 weeks, so I would say your baby is right on track, and falling close to the average rate.

This sounds average ....the last month they say that the baby gains 1 pound a week...so you might be looking at a 9 pounder! LOL Congrats and good luck!!
