I was on the pill basically for 7 years. I went off it in Dec 07, had one normal period in Jan 08. We only had unprotected sex one time, and got pregnant in Jan 08!! I was expecting it to take a long time for us to get pregnant! My doctor told me to have at least one normal period off the pill before trying to get pregnant.

With my first child I went off the pill and the next month I was pregnant. As for conceiving my second child it took 6 months after I got off the pill for my body to adjust. But I think it was due mainly going to the bathroom and such after we had sex. I suggest holding the bathroom part and just going right to sleep so the little suckers have a chance to swim swim swim! If you are trying to get pregnant and it`s been taking a while take a deep breath...I was getting worried after trying for 6 months because I had gotten pregnant so easily the 1st time. Just keep trying. :) Sorry for being so detailed...lol, but I wish I had found this site while trying for my 2nd child because I was getting so down on myself for it taking so long.

was on the pill for almost 8 years, gave my body 2 months to be off of it before we started trying, got pregnant the first month of trying!

I conceived the month after I came off the pill... accidentally... badly-prevented-ly!...heheh!

i was on the pill for 5 years and i went off it in november 07. i had just got a bfp on march 8th (4 days late) and i lost the baby on march 10th. So now we try again

I forgot to refill my pill supply, so I had to wait until the next month to get more and start it the sunday after my period. Well, that never came because we got pregnant! My last AF was June 26, and my doctor said that we conceived around July 7th. So It was like a matter of a week or so, and we were blessed with our little girl! And I have been on the pill for like 6 years!

My doctor says that typically it can take about 6 months to get out of your system, but to become regular to have a baby.. you shouldnt become concerened if you dont get pregnant within a year!

With my first child, right away (after being on it for 7 years). For the third child it took 3 months (after being on it for 5 years). Everyone is different though.

Everyone is different here. I was on it for 6 years before I tried for my first child. It took me about 2 years to conceive. Then I got back on it after she was born, and was on it for 2 years. Then I stopped taking it in August last year, and got preg in Nov - so just about 4 mos this time! Good luck!

I was on the pill for a little over 4 years. I`ve been off of it since September of last year. No luck so far. :(

when my mum fell pregnant with my sister it was within a week of her going off the pill
