Babies are so funny. They can watch and coo, etc at a mobile for HOURS on end! That`s all they are doing when they watch TV. Its something that is colorful and moves so they watch it. It doesn`t mean your baby is smarter than others or, like someone else suggested, less imaginative. It doesn`t really mean anything. But be careful! Letting your baby watch TV could be setting them up for bad bavior patterns. You would much rather your baby actively play. If they are playing they are learning.

im surprised at baby`s who watch tv. my daughter would do anything more than glance at it if there was a tune she recognized, before going off to do something else. this lasted until almost 2

i heard that babies and children that watch TV are actually not as imaginative than kids that listen to music.
