Ok Ladies sorry so long! I need your opinions! From the beginnging of my pregnancy there has been question as to when I got pregnant. I had messed up periods right before getting pregnant and then I was measuring too big in the beginning and they thought twins. Well not twins! I actually showed kinda early too. ( or might have been right on time)! I have had a better good pregnancy cant complain! Well I am really big in the belly and all my friends and family say I have already dropped. I feel I have too. I had a 4D done on 2.29 and at that time according to my doctors office I was like 31 weeks, well they told me that my doctor has my due date wrong. Which from the beginning from what they said would seem right. He was already measuring 35 weeks, over 5 pounds & in the birthing position. I told my doctor what they said and he said that they dont go by later u/s done in pregnancy that they are not accurate. Which I still dont get that. I really have been taking after my mom during this pregancy on how she was with my brother and her theory is this weekend he will be here. Last Friday I had an appointment and I have been having a lot of gabbing pains down in that area so they did a cervix exam and they felt his head. That doctor ( there are 6 in my practice) then moved me up to weekly appointments to monitor me, also because my blood pressure went from 106/60 to 120/80, he thought that was a big jump! So I go back yesterday and have an appointment with 1 of the ones I havent met actually yet and he is like well I think you are measuring 37 weeks but I am going to keep what the other doctors have here with you being 33-34 weeks! I guess what my question is.. from previous experiences how right have the doctors been with your due dates and does this seem like to anyone else that he will be here soon! It is just driving me nuts! I know only my son knows when he is really coming but it is just getting on my nerves with the doctors! Thanks Ladies!

If they`re already feeling the head, I would think you are further along than the first dates. Don`t be surprised if it`s soon. Doctor`s are not God, and many don`t like to admit it if they`re wrong! Mostly it`s just wait and see, though.

They don`t change your due date later in pregnancy because it is not as accurate. My baby was head down at 23 weeks so they all turn on their own time. Go by your last period. Most likely you are just having a big baby like me :) Good Luck

well, I think b/c of the fact that they felt your baby`s head it might be a little earlier than they think. I would just expect that it can come at anytime. be ready, but if it doesnt come too soon, don`t worry b/c they might be right with you only being 34 weeks!

I had blood test done at 8 weeks that was acurate to the day. I would just aveadge the two dates and expect your babe around then. People love to speculate, especially if your constantly asking `when! when!` Don`t worry, your baby won`t cook too long. In my expirience, I baught a skirt the day before I found out I was pregnant, and it didn`t fit the next day. I measured big the whole time and the doctors hinted that my uterus showed me a few weeks ahead, but they never gave me the run around. Take my advice and knit some booties to get your mind off it, becuase if it bothers you now, it will drive you NUTS later on. Trust your baby to tell you the date!

did you not have a dating scan in early pregnancy?....In the area i live in they dont change your due date according to the later scans because all babies grow differently for example, my sister and I are 2 weeks apart, i am due first (on monday)...however from scans my little one will probably only be about 6 1/2lbs when born whereas two weeks ago her little one was already estimated at 7lb and she still had 4 weeks to go...ouch!! xx
