Pregnancy-poll poll What sort of crib mattress is supposedly the best to buy? Should I go for the best brand and the highest number of coils I can? I don`t want a squishy mattress, but do I want a super firm mattress?

I don`t think there really is much difference to them. It may be just a sales pitch. I think firmer is better because of SIDS- but that is a complete guess, I have no fact to back that up. I would ask your pediatrician. I`d hate to see you spend more just for a label. Our Toys R Us brand has held up better to my jumpy son than the crib did! It broke!
