Mine are all 7 years apart! I have a 14 year old daughter, a 7 year old daughter, and I am pregnant with a son! I can tell you 7 years apart is not the best route if you want your children to have things in common or play well together. However, the plus side has been the individual time spent with each child. For us, it is not like seperate families, it is just kind of nutty at times when you have one child in 8th grade and one in 1st grade who have nothing much in common, but it is so wonderful to see the younger sister look-up to the older sister with stars in her eyes, and watching the older sister threatening the mean bullies in the younger one`s class just by looking at them. I guess here are plus and minuses to every situation!

We are 3 kids 2 years apart each, and the 4th came 5 yrs after the last one. Let me tell you, my younger sis (2yrs difference) is my best friend in the whole world! even though we used to pull each other`s hair and couldn`t stand each other growing up. I believe closeness in age teaches sharing better, and creates closer bonds. On the other hand, me and my lil brother (7yrs apart) have a super relationship, except he`s always to me my little brother, and the generation gap is just big enough to make my experience with him feel half motherly, half sisterly.

My children will be 3 1/2 years apart and I think that`s perfect. My daughter is all potty trained and very self-sufficient. I couldn`t imagine having another while she was still in her 2`s or younger. They need so much attention then, and I wouldn`t have been able to do it. It wouldn`t have been fair to either child. JMO

there are pluses and minuses for all age gaps. you just have to be positive about whatever gap your kids are. initially i wanted mine close together, but it just didn`t happen that way. now my daughter is 5 , and she is a wonderful blessing. im so glad to have had this time alone with her, without having to concentrate on anyone else, and she will be a wonderful big sister and helper to me.

I wanted to wait until my daughter was out of diapers. She is 7 months now, and SURPRISE...I`m pregnant now, so mine will only be 15 months apart! We`ll have our hands full, but as long as you can handle it I think it doesn`t matter.

  10. Please share your Homemade Baby Recepies! I recently made this one in the Crockpot:: 2/3 bad of split green peas; 3 whole carrots (peeled and cut into cubes) 1 whole LARGE chicken breast. 4-5 cups water. I cooked it on low for about 12 hours. Then I stired it really good and I broke the chix up. Then I scooped it into the blender and pureed it
