MormonBaby`s poll Show results | Hide results

Baby-poll poll How soon is too soon to fly with your newborn? I still have a few months til he`s born, but I want to get my flight ready to go show him off to my family. This is my first baby, do you think i would be way to exhausted to take a trip when he is only about a month old?

Fly anytime, you'll be fine
WAIT, you'll be way too stressed and tired
Babies shouldn't travel that soon

My sister flew with her daughter when she was just 5days old...her husband was deployed so she was at my parents to give birth then flew home afterwards. I`m getting ready to take my 4mth old home to show her off. I`m pretty dang nervous as its a LONG flight (from Alaska to Arkansas)and I`m going by myself, my hubby isnt going...Good luck though! I`m sure it`ll go just fine when it does get time to go.

I flew with my son when he was 3 weeks old. The one thing I suggest is bring your stoller and your car seat to the gate with you. you can always gate check it and it will be waiting for you when you get off the plane. also if the plane isn`t full you can bring the carseat on with you and use the seat next to you.

we flew from kansas city to charlotte when my baby was 3-4 weeks old and she was great. she slept most of the time, and she could even fit on the food tray in front of the seat so that we could change her diaper right there, lol. it was so funny! also, i was worried about her ears, but she was totally fine (i either put he paci in her mouth or nursed her during take off and landing). good luck!!

When I went to Hawaii last time there was a 3 week old on the plan behind us. The baby was fine... just slept pretty much the whole time.

I took my daugther on a plane when she was two months. It was a two and a half hour flight. I was terrified...but she did better than I though she would. I was so scared that she was going to annoy all the people! If you are worried about it being to early...talk to his doctor after he`s born and he should tell you what he thinks of it.

I took my son Gavin my first child on a plane to go and visit my husbands family when he was a month and a half old. So stressful on the way there! I didn`t know what to expect! He cried the whole way there and people were getting so mad at me. I was dreading the trip home but he was fine. He slept and when he wasn`t sleeping he was being bottle fed. But with my other kids they were good. Just make sure you feed the baby before hand and change the baby. Good luck!

  1. My husband and I were neighbors when we first met, he was afraid to ask me out cause I had a boyfriend, so to show that he liked me, he would shovel my walk(there is tons of snow here) each morning before I woke up. My question is: How did you and your husband/boyfriend meet?
