I had a third degree laceration, and needed stiches. I saw my dr for my 6 wk checkup after birth and was okayed for sex. (However, he didn`t do a vaginal exam. He said he`d wait until my regular annual exam - 6 mos away!) So I went back to having sex, and it was SO painful! I suffered through it over and over again, hoping it would get better but it wouldn`t. Finally at my reg checkup, and asked about it. During the exam, he said I healed fine from the stiches, and that I just need to massage the scar tissue on my perinium. It was gross and kind of painful. I just did it in the privacy of my bathroom a few times, and instantly sex was better again! I wish I would have had the guts to ask sooner!

its hard to tell what you mean from your question - do the 2 months include the 6 weeks afterwards where there isnt supposed to be any sex? i tried having sex at 6 weeks to the day because we couldnt hold off lol. it hurt when he tried to put it in, like a sharp pain so we stopped. i went to the dr for my 6 week checkup 2 days later and she checked things out. i got my pap test fine and she said chances are, it was one last stitch that had been in there that he popped out (thus the pain) but everything was good to go after that. i was extremely cautious and needless to say, it may have only hurt til 6 1/2 weeks post partum - that doesnt mean i enjoyed it then. i didnt really fully come to enjoy sex again for at least another month because i thought things would feel different to my husband, i hated how i looked etc and couldnt get caught up in the moment. after about a month tho, i learned fairly quickly to forget about it because i missed REAL sex lol. good luck.
