I took one early in this pregnancy because of diabetes in the family and am taking it again tomorrow. The drink is not bad at all and I was completely fine after ward and I hate needles. I just told myself that in a few months, I will have to go through way worse! Hahaha...good luck!

it will also depend on if you have gestational diabetes or not. if you do you will feel like crap if you don`t the side effects should be minor...

I threw up immediately after the blood-drawing. Then I felt fine and went to class. :)

I`ve had to do it four times, once for each pregnancy. Three of the times I was fine. But one time I was naseous, light-headed and just felt weak and out of it for the rest of the day. I was anemic that time so that might have played into it. My blood sugar is usually on the low side as well. The doctor said the jolt of sugar can make you not feel well. It is hard to predict how you`ll feel for sure, you could feel fine. And don`t worry, the drink itself isn`t too bad! Good luck!

i don`t know how you`re gonna react after the test but a feel like crap for 2 days... maybe you can take the day off... the drink is nasty!!!

They just gave me an orange like soda to drink and although it was hard to drink it with only 5 minutes to finish it all, it didn`t make me sick.

sorry im just assume`ing youre from the USA, I dont what they do over there but here in the UK for s glucose test they just swab sample of urine so obviously no side affects at all.
