Pregnancy-poll poll u can purchase a Fetoscope (hears babys heartbeat) on Ebay for $7.95. My question is, is it worth it at 20 weeks and is it stupid to buy 1 cuz i like to hear its heartbeat?

It`s not a big investment, since you like to hear the baby`s heart beating :) It`s reassuring for sure, as long as you don`t obsess over how fast or slow the heart is beating... 7.50, think of it as a coffee at starbucks

I think it`s worth, you can also go to a kids corner, or thrift store and buy one, I got mine for 8.50 and it works well, I used it the first time at about 14 weeks. it`s called bebe sounds.

I`m getting one from eBay also. Some say it works, some say it doesn`t. But it`s less that 20 bucks, so what the hell. Plus I can use it after the baby`s born.

i bought one in my 1st pregnancy thing is babies usually aren`t big enough to actually hear their heartbeat til you`re way into your 3rd trimester. unless your fetoscope is exactly what the doctor has (which i doubt they sell those OTC) u can still buy it b/c i did, just couldn`t really use it til i was well in my 3rd trimester. those things are really meant for amusement just something nice u know, if you just want someone else to hear your babys heartbeat. if you`re baby hasn`t moved regularly as he/she does then u know when to go to doctor to check it out & make sure they`re ok.

Def worth it. Some days you`ll worry because you won`t feel the baby move as much or some days you`ll just worry for no reason. $8 is well worth the comfort of knowing your baby is ok.

  1. We just shared the news in our small town that we are expecting our second child. To my suprise a lot of people were shocked. Do you think 18 months is too close together?? How far apart in age are your children? My sister and I are 14 months, so I thought 18 was a pretty big gap!
