My first baby I was all for medicine.. didn`t feel a thing, i was all prepared to do the same with the second but they broke my water and within 53mins I had the baby without a chance of getting the meds and I have to say that natural is not as bad as you would think. It was a great experience and so much better for the healing afterwards. If I had my way I will go natural again... or at least try but I will keep the meds on hand if its not as quick as last time. I`m just greatful it happened as fast as it did and that I wasn`t given the chance just for the experience.. best of luck!

as much as EVERY mom wants a natural birth, you need to come to reality & take your health & babies into consideration. with my first child, i had to be induced so contractions were even WORSE than your natural, go into labor on your own contractions. I held out from 10 at night til 10 the next morning trying to bear the pain. my hubby could not take seeing me in anymore pain, & i came to realize i`m gonna be so wiped out when its time to push & baby is gonna be so stressed from the long hours of labor i agreed to the epidural. it was absolute HEAVEN, i was so relaxed i had my son in just 4 more hours. mind you when the gave me the epidural i was still only 3 cm. with all the stress from my pain his heart rate would drop & i couldn`t take it anymore. so in the end, he still came out natural (not c-section) and i was very pleased with my baby. you just gotta do what right for u & baby at that moment.
