KSmommy (130.4 days ago)I have that pain in my cervix sometimes. I thought it had something to do with a yeast infection I had been having. My doctor said it was just my uterus pushing on my pubic bones and cervix. It is normal as far as I know, I am only 12 weeks so i hope that it`s not like effacement haha!
kyladensmom (131.1 days ago)I too have had these pains, with really no explanation. I had them with my previous pregnancies as well and both of them went to full term and were perfect so I am sure you will be fine.
jmx (131.4 days ago)you can get this stabbing pain when baby moves alot down below i get it alot
Baby3OnWay (132.2 days ago)no it is not early to start rippening is actually a lot better. Its not the same as effacment as that is the thinning or your cervix. rippening is more like the cervix getting into position properly before thinning starts out. You will be fine and best of luck!
RobinG (133.1 days ago)I remember that cervical pain clearly ~ felt like a knife being pushed into my cervix ~ I had it for the better part of my 7th month ~ BH`s occur throughout pregnancy and some feel them earlier then others ~ it is just the body practicing and isnt necessarily a sign you will have preterm labor ~ If you have real contractions thats one thing but BH`s are completely normal and some can be very painful too ~ there is a difference between the two :) Your doc can confirm which one you are having. If it is BH`s you should be fine ~ sounds like all normal pregnancy symptoms to me ~ (())
MJamison (133.3 days ago)Hey!
I had that start around that time too.. Nothing to be concerned with at least I hope.. my doctor said that is normal and yes it is your body just getting ready but it still had take a long time.. It lasted for a couple weeks for me.. THey did a cervix check on me at my next appointment after it started and said that he just was moving down.. I am 37 weeks and still pregnant, so I wouldnt really worry too much about it.. Just take it easy and dont over do it!
Good Luck!
jeanette (133.3 days ago)ripening, efacing, and softening are all the same thing. When this happens, it will take a very long time for labor to come on, and you need not worry. You`ll know that labor is eminant if the small capilaries of your cervix break and you may see teeny tiny, itsy bitsy drops of red blood in your underwear or on your toilette paper (this is called the bloody show, and signifies the onset of labor, and it can take almost a week from that point). Also, it could just be that it hurts for no real reason except that you are pregnant and crazy stuff happens and defies explanation at a time when you really NEED to know what is going on. I`d say, don`t fret unless you see blood before 36 weeks.
christy (133.3 days ago)by the way.....this is NOT round ligament pain or anything like that...I have had that before and this nothing similiar. It is without a doubt my cervix....

EMILY JONES (133.3 days ago)i had the sam,e problem when i was pregnant.it was alway on my side of the uterus.all it means is your uterus is growing and streching out.making room for your baby.as long as u r not bleeding heavy u should be fine.only your doctor know that u could be high risk of preterm labor.if u feeling that way ask your doctor not a nurse.but everthing else with the braxton kick is normal.u have nothing to worry about.
captshelley (133.3 days ago)I don`t know about the pain in your cervix but the braxton hicks thing I had. I had them very early on and all the way up to the day I went into labor at 40 weeks.
