Niamh-Jo (178.1 days ago)I second what Sadielady said: If you`re going to get them, you can use all the butters, lotions and oils you like but you will still get them... I found my first 2 tiny faint ones at 32 weeks (with twins) I am now nearly 37 weeks and have way more and worse ones and they are very itchy, so now those million-and-one oils, lotions and body butters I have spent a fortune on are simply helping keeping me moisturised and controlling the itching. I`m sorry but I thought I was preventing stretchmarks for so long, I should have just realised that if you have the type of skin for them, you will get them.. trust me: I used those oils etc 3 or more times EVERY DAY, and never got too massive with these babies... it`s just the type of skin I have. Maybe you`ll be lucky. Keep using all the stuff anyway, it`ll help keep your skin moisturised! good luck! x
RobinG (178.7 days ago)I agree with below... Shea may not totally stop them from happening if you are dehydrated or stretching/gaining fast but if you stay hydrated and gain slowly and use unrefined shea chances are you will not get them nearly as bad if your body is prone to getting them ~ (())

RobinG (178.7 days ago)ONLY if you use unrefined shea butter ~ I use the lotions and soaps. I used it with my last two and no marks, I didnt with my first and got them ~ refined shea looses the nutrients in processing and many of the products you buy with shea in them are refined or so little it will not make a differnce or help ~ I also use black soap too ~ you should use Nubain Heritage if you do ~ I have some links on my page to some good sites that sell the good stuff that is unrefined. I bought the Unrefined Shea Butter lotion in the bottle and it did wonders!! So much easier to spread them reguler 100% unrefined shea butter :)
yiyi (178.7 days ago)I don`t know but cocoa butter oil w/vitamin e is helping me and drinking a lots of water but everybody is diferent... good luck
Sadielady (178.9 days ago) if your going to get stretch marks all the creams will really do is ease the itching
leahs (178.9 days ago)I didn`t use any creams/lotions etc with any of my pregnancies and didn`t get any stretch marks.Drink lots of water to stay hydrated and try not to gain too much at once, that will help.
