I got my daughter`s ears pierced after she was six months old and had those shots. That is what the ear piercing studio recommended. I agree that people are way too judgemental on this issue. It has been very simple...she is almost 14 months old now and we have had NO problems. We have a high quality earring in place and we clean them every night after her bath. She has never bothered them, probably because they are like second nature to her by now. Best of luck!

I had my daughters ears pierced when she was 3 months old by her doctor! She only cried for a few seconds!! They never got infected either!! Just make sure your hands are clean when you touch them!

I don`t think it really matters, just depends on whatever you feel. With both my girls I decided I would let them make the choice when they got older.

I got my daughters pierced when she was 4 months...she had to be current on all her shots. I have had no problems. Having a girl this time around and will do the same. They don`t remember when they are that little...just give her a little tylenol 30 mins ahead of time!

I got my daughters done after her 3 month shots, and she didnt hardly cry, I think its better that way, plus if you wait until they are a couple months older they will pull on them and play with them, and if you wait until they are years older they wont take care of them correctly, so younger is way better I think and eaiser in the long run for you

I plan on doing it to my baby girl. I just want to ask the doctor what shots if any she should have before doing it but I will as soon as she can. I think it looks so cute and I had mine done when I was a baby.

as my mother did with all of her daughters at around 3 months i will do the same with my baby girl too, everyone has different oppinions,i HATE WHEN PEOPLE ARE SO JUDGEMENTAL.

I will not pierce my daughter`s ears till she asks me herself to have it done. Plus, posts are uncomfortable to me when trying to sleep, the last thing I would want to do is aggravate a baby and keep her from sleeping :)

in the UK they will only pierce a baby`s ear after she has had all her injections at around 4 mths. this was when i got my daughters done. she was due a sleep but i kept her wake to have them done afterwards she cried a little but then fell asleep. she is 6 mths now and i`ve never had any trouble with cleaning them nor have they bothered my daughter. I`m glad i got them done 4 her now rather then when she is 6,7,8 and wanting them doing but to scared to get them done or her having them done around that age and messing with them causing them to get infected and i really don`t think she will regret me having them done 4 her.

I got my daughter`s ears pierced when she was under 1 - I cant remember how many months but it didnt bother her at all.
