maybe you can ask if she can help you throw a shower for yourself. maybe then she will just say she will do it.

If you feel funny asking for your own shower..Tell your husband to suggest something to her..and have him add that he doesnt think that your in- town friends will do it and that he would feel so bad if you didnt get one...after all it is his sister..he would prob. be more comfortable with that

I couldn`t agree with what my MIL was trying to pull off for my shower so we called my husband`s cousins and asked if we could have the shower in her back yard. She was thrilled that we asked and is very excited to throw it for us.

All my close friends live out of town and my also my sister really wanted to help out with the one here.. ( back home they threw me one 2) she really wanted to throw it for me.. my sister that is.. but my house is way too small to be able to do that.. so I asked my husbands cousin to do it at her house.. and to be honest.. she was honored that I even asked her...
