-Niamh-Jo`s Name-poll

We are having twins and I came up with the girl`s name (which my boyfriend was happy with too) and we settled on that, and then I kind of said that he could have the final say on the boy`s name. He`s come up with a lot of weird-ish names that didn`t go down well with me or the families (!) but the latest choice isn`t so weird, but I`m not sure I`m mad about it. It just doesn`t jump out at me as being my son`s name, if you know what I mean! My question is, should I just go for it as it`s the best of a bad bunch? We`re having them on Tuesday by the way! The latest one he`s thought of is: `Louis`.

persist and get him to like the name you want! You are the one whose body's been stretched all out of shape!
get him to think of more (at the risk there may be a worse suggestion on the way!)

If it doesn`t strike you as being the right name - then do NOT go with it! This is forever! I love the idea professorpreggers has! Give him a list of your names YOU like for boys and have him put a name together! Or, you could just tell him a first name that you want and ask him to pick a middle name - if that isn`t good enough for him - Tell him he can pick the middle names for both babies but you get to pick the first names. It`s all about compromise but not feeling disappointed in the end.

Persist until you really feel like you can call your on by that name for the rest of his life--and love it. My husband thought he had a lot more say in naming our baby, but all I did was give him a list of my favorites and he put the first and second name together. I got the names I love and he feels like he made the final decision.

maybe u could have him just pick out the middle names. if u dont like louis then dont settle for it. u should both like the name. my fiance has no say at all lol he is letting me pick the name
