raspberry (1395.7 days ago) with my son i only worked until 32 weeks because i work a job standing up all the time and i had very painful braxton hicks. i kept having to go home to lay down to get them to stop (i had them mostly in my back for up to 4 hrs at a time, always cramping and sharp pains every 3-5 minutes). the drs often thought i was going into labor but as long as i relaxed, they`d subside after laying for about an hr and a half. im now 18 weeks tmrw with my second and im not sure when i`ll take off. ive had bad psiatic nerve pain for about 4 weeks already and im hoping it`ll get better, but we`ll see. my work offers paid sick leave at a lesser amount per hr so i may take advantage of that around 30 weeks if the pain continues and worsens this time so we can stop paying for childcare for our first and i can stay at home with him. :) in canada, we have 1 yr off paid by unemployment and we split it with my son - 6 months for me, 6 for my husband but this time im going to enjoy every loooooong minute of it with my babies because now i understand how FAST they grow.
