nikichad (166.7 days ago)i was induced for my last on cuse she was late and i had 3 befor her and i would say there not stronger thay are just there faster and it only took me 1 houre and not even 2 pushes...it makes things move along faster i was scared as well and my husband was telling me not to worry its goign to be fine...and all went well just fast witch was a good thing lol
alex76 (167.4 days ago)Hi - gonna go for the straight up answer, my contractions were very strong and on top of each other, I went for 10 hours before I got an emergency section baby was distressed. My hubby got sent home so I was on my own, my advice is a good birthing partner, if my hubby had been there I`d have coped ok I think.
Juniper (167.4 days ago)althiugh I started labour naturally they decided to give me pictocin (if thats how it`s spelled) and the contractions quickly got more painful...weather thats the hormones or just me I dont know. I didn`t have a c-section tho.
Christina1984 (167.6 days ago)i just read that ur contractions can not be worse because ur uterus only allows for a certain force of contractions. as for the c section that may be. the baby isnt naturally coming so it may get in distress and stuff like that. wish u luck. let me know how it goes i like to hear birth stories
mommythethird (167.8 days ago)I was induced with both of my two sons. They started out by breaking my water, then adding pitocin. Yes, the contractions were painful, thus I got an epidural. Both children were born vaginally. I think the risk of c-section with induction comes when your body will not allow you to progress. Since you`ve already had a baby vaginally, you already know your body can do this. I wouldn`t worry about it too much. Good luck to you.
leonie3 (167.9 days ago)I was induced with my 3rd, the contractions are closer but i would not say they are more painful it may feel like it at the time because they are closer than if you go into labour on your own, i opted for a epidural because i could not cope with the contractions so cloose it was like there was no break between them, hope this dont sound to bad for you. Good luck.
tamnserg (168 days ago)being induced isnt any painful that going into labor on your own. however if you need pitocin the pain will be unberable!! The contractions are much harder and much closer.
emy (168.1 days ago)I got induced and had an epidural and didn`t feel a thing. I also delivered vaginally...a 9 lb 7 oz 22 inch healthy baby boy. Everyone handles things so differently. Stay positive!Good luck!
leahs (168.2 days ago)I had one induction with pitocin, one induction by breaking my water and my other labor started on it`s own, I didn`t notice any difference in the pain of the contractions with any of my labors. One cause of needing a c/sect if induced is the use of an epidural too soon, so if you feel you need one I would wait as long as possible before getting one, alot of women will demand one before their contractions even really start. Good luck to you.
RobinG (168.3 days ago)Inductions DEF have more pain sadly :( As far as failed induction I doubt that will happen to you ~ a failed induction often occurs when an induction is attempted and the baby & body isnt ready or showings signs of being ready.. so if fails. (occurs most for those doing inductions before their due date) being 41 weeks and past due chances of your body not showing any early signs internally to be successful are very slim IMO. Only reason it could lead to a section is if your baby cant be delivered naturally for various reasons. My son was a floater and way to big to even drop so I had to have a section cause I cant deliver naturally. As they were preping me my water broke so I would have gone into labor anyhow ~ I suggest lots and lots of walking to let gravity work in your favor to help baby drop and some sex to soften the cervix (sperm does that) and squats to help open your pelvis ~ Unless your baby is to big I think you will do fine and a big baby thats to big that leads to a section isnt considered a failed induction ~ it is failed if you can deliver naturally and your body just never goes into labor and dilates.
