roosa (169 days ago)I had never met the doctor but it didn`t matter. Hardly saw her anyway. She showed up once during labour and right after birth because there were no complications. I hadn`t met my midwife either, but she was wonderful - usually they are!! I wouldn`t worry!
KarenVG (170.8 days ago)You will just be glad someone is there! I had a never seen before guy...actually wished he had been my OB... he was an older guy sadly retired now so I can`t have him this time either! Just expect either could happen and try and relax... it will the last thing on your mind when the finale comes! Focus on seeing that little sweet face... that is all that matters!
BGirl (171.7 days ago)I never met my doctor before and I didn`t spend much time with her before the delivery. The nurses helped me during everything leading up to the labor, then the doctor came in for about 5 minutes to deliver. It didn`t bother me one bit. You will be so nervous and anxious you won`t even notice anyone is there.
tiredmommy (171.7 days ago)There were 4 drs in the med group, and I ended up w/ one I hadn`t met yet. (I ended up in labor 2 wks early, and my dr was on vacation.) It was fine! At that point, who cares! All I wanted was for my precious baby girl to come out healthy - which she did!
kater (172.2 days ago)the previous comments are sooooo right!!! at that point, who cares whos there, i certainly didnt! as long as my husband is there, i dont care who is actually delivering the baby
alex76 (172.2 days ago)Hi please dont worry about this, I did but believe me when you are in labour that is the last thing that will be on your mind. No-one really tells you how labour is for fear of worrying you, but its a very intense experience and as long as you have your birthing partner with you that`s all you`ll even notice trust me
captshelley (172.3 days ago)I delivered in a birthing center by choice and never meet my midwife before delivery. I met my nurse and she was really who I saw all day and leaned on during labor. When it came time to deliver I didn`t care who was taking this baby out, just get her out. I had peace of mind knowing that many doctors were just down the hall if something were to happen.
agonzales (172.4 days ago)I had my own doctor deliver my last child. At first I was so worried about her not being able to be there for my delivery. She actually made it just on time. They told me she came in at 8am and I had my baby girl at 8:18am.. But I think when you`re in so much pain then you just want the baby out of ya lol.
leahs (172.5 days ago)My labors were too quick for my dr to make it on time, except my last one since she was in the hospital at the time. They are really only there to `catch` the baby and check them afterwards, it`s the nurse assigned to you that you spend the most time with.
mamacakes (172.5 days ago)totally diff. doc and at that point...who gives a crap!! LOL...you just want the baby OUT!!!
Ady-and-Maylies-Momma (172.5 days ago)I didn`t know the doc that delivered my baby either. My regular doctor was in the room, but he just assisted. It didn`t really matter to me though, as long she was coming out! haha...at the time it didn`t cross my mind, but I know my doctors now will deliver my baby because there are 4 and I will have seen all of them.
sadielady (172.5 days ago)i didnt know the doctor who delivered my baby.. but it didnt make a difference to me,, i actually liked him, i saw the nurse practitioner my whole pregnancy so i didnt know my doctor either.. it wasnt a big deal to me but, i made sure this doctor delivers all of her babies. good luck!
