when my oldest was a newborn he had bad thrush wouldn`t go away for a few months. What i know about the purple medicen is its more natural then the yellow medicans... the reason it was hard to get rid of was not because of the purple stuff. i found out about it in my research when trying to find alternative methods

We had thrush and they gave me a pink medicine, but it didn`t turn the baby`s mouth any color. The key is to be very diligent with using it on everything that goes in baby`s mouth EVERY time- nipples, pacifiers, etc. Also, since thrush is a yeast infection, ask your dr about taking acidophilus pills. That is the good bacteria that keeps everything in balance. At the very least it should help for you.

that was the end of breast feeding for me. the medince didnt turn my sons mouth purple...it was yellow and thick adn the cream on my breast was gross. i couldnt get it to clear up. i never got it but he had it, the medicine he used worked great it left the first dose or so but would come back it was jsut terrible, if you CAN try using just the medice adn botle feeing him breast milk it will be easier so you stop passing back adn forth...thats my advise good luck
