You are supposed to transition to the cot/crib when they start moving around on their own...either scooting, rolling, sitting, etc. cuz they could fall out then.

i put my daughter in her cot (crib) when she was only a few weeks old, because she would `startle` in her sleep and throw her arms up and they hit the sides of her bassinet, waking her up. she probably would have stayed way longer if the hadn`t done this

my daughter stayed in the moses basket till she was 4 mths old (she was pretty small) i`d move your baby when u think he/she is getting to big.

I plan on using a bassinet in our room for the first month or two. We`ll then transition him/her to their room/crib across the hall from us. I think it all depends on how you feel and how far away from your room is the baby room. We`re lucky that it`s just across the hall, but I can understand staying in your room longer if it`s further away. Try not to do the co-sleep in your bed option. It`s too risky.

Im not sure if a cot is like a crib, but I am going to have my daughter in the bassinet for about 3 weeks then move her to her crib.

  5. Some weird things have been happening today, and I`m afraid I`m just working myself up. First, I went potty this morning, and after I was done peeing, I had another small amount of liquid come out. Not sure if it was pee. Then, my c-sect incision from my last baby started hurting really bad. (I had the c-sect 10 mo`s ago, and I`m a little over 32 weeks now) However, the incision feels fine now. Should I go get checked out?
