mommy-2-b (151.5 days ago)You are supposed to transition to the cot/crib when they start moving around on their own...either scooting, rolling, sitting, etc. cuz they could fall out then.
kater (151.7 days ago)i put my daughter in her cot (crib) when she was only a few weeks old, because she would `startle` in her sleep and throw her arms up and they hit the sides of her bassinet, waking her up. she probably would have stayed way longer if the hadn`t done this
kathleen (156.3 days ago)my daughter stayed in the moses basket till she was 4 mths old (she was pretty small) i`d move your baby when u think he/she is getting to big.
MSUSpartan (156.4 days ago)I plan on using a bassinet in our room for the first month or two. We`ll then transition him/her to their room/crib across the hall from us. I think it all depends on how you feel and how far away from your room is the baby room. We`re lucky that it`s just across the hall, but I can understand staying in your room longer if it`s further away. Try not to do the co-sleep in your bed option. It`s too risky.
jenakers (156.4 days ago)Whenever you're ready.

monica9 (156.5 days ago)Im not sure if a cot is like a crib, but I am going to have my daughter in the bassinet for about 3 weeks then move her to her crib.
