RE: Diaper Service ~ anyone here us cloth diapers that used to use disposable? Hunter is in size 4 ~ he poos approx 3 times a day ~ Other then night time when he goes 8 hours he is changed approx every 2 hours ~ 3 if he is napping ~ I pay approx $10 for approx 30 diapers. Any idea how much it costs and how it works with a diaper service? I dont want to do it if it will only save me a couple bucks ~ and is it hard to transition? Anyone here swtich and be glad, switch and not be glad ~ Looking to hear from those who`ve used both ~ how often is changing needed? How much does it cost etc etc? Pro`s and ConsTX!

The diaper service I looked into said you just place soiled diaper in pail and they do all the rest, no touching or washing ~ course I`d use disposables for family and travel ~ still undecided. I`d like to save some $ but not if it is so much of a pain. I wouldnt even consider it if I had to wash them myself but if someone else does maybe it would work...

Hi I used reuseables last time round with cost in mind. After about a month we stopped. The washing is never ending and the diapers need to be soaked before washing. Even when we changed the water constantly there was still a smell. If we had babysitters like family etc even though they all used cloth diapers on us as babies they were really reluctant to use them. Both our Moms actually went out and bought disposeables themselves! I think they are a terrific idea in theory but personally I couldnt keep up.
