A local Spa here in Scotland did a Mother`s and Daughter`s pampering Day. We dont have baby showers here but my Mum and Sis did loads for me anyway and we got them this as a treat, it was a wee bit expensive, in dollars probably about $350 but it was well worth it because they loved it

for your mom you could get her a diaper bag of her own for when she has the baby. you can have it made with specific fabrics and have her name put on the outside or what she wants to be called (mimi, grammy, g-mom, etc.). This lady makes great quality and gorgeous diaperbags. I ordered one for a friend 2 years ago and now almost all of us have ordered from her. everyone likes a gift card to a restaraunt or favorite store, but if you want something more person and sentimental I would go with maybe some unique pottery, jewelry, or something decorative that is meaningful to them such as religion or somehting

When it doubt, go with jewelry. Not necessarily something expensive, but maybe handmade/craft piece. I like the website etsy for those kinds of things.
