Definitely Giovanni; it is a beautiful name, and I love the spelling. Jovanni makes me think the parents got confused about the spelling of Giovanni (which I know isn`t the case with you guys).

They`re pronounced exactly the same (the `Gio` is pronounced Joh, not Jee-Oh). I went with Giovanni, I think that the original Italian form is lovely.

I want the name Jovanni and my hubby wants Giovanni. I dont really like the Gio part.

The little boy acrossed the street from me is named Giovanni ~ we call him Govi pronouced `joe-vi` very cute name :)
