I practiced writing in cursive, it was more smooth to write it with a y, also more fun.

It would look nice with one `l` rather than two. I went with the `issa` spelling rather than the `yssa` spelling, because one of my favourite Alissas frequently comments about how she loves that her name is spelled with a strong `i` rather than a sloppy `y`. :-)
