my daughter is 3 and she is really excited about her baby sister in my belly. i was recently around another baby and of course giving it attention and she was great about it and really gentle with the baby. however, i feel when the baby comes and she sees that it isnt leaving and needs constant attention she may start acting jealous. the important thing at that age is to make them `mommy`s little helper` and allow them to take part in diaper changes and everything thing else.

Every sibling is different ~ my son was 4.5 when Stephen my 2nd was born and there was never jealousy ~ but it is always possible with any kid at any age ~ As far as a 3 year or 4 year old, there is a big difference in maturity between age 3 and age 4 ~ Although I dont know many the moms I did hear who had concerns had children 3 or younger ~ 4 year olds can be reasoned with and have a better understanding on things ~ so the risks decrease I personally think ~ my older two were 12 and 7 when Hunter was born and there has never been a concern their either :)

my son was turned 3 just 1 month after his sister was born. before she came i always worried about how he would be with her or if he would feel left out. in the months waiting he new a baby was coming but i don`t think he really understood fully and when she was born and he came to visit he had the biggest smile on his face when he saw her and was well impressed with HIS baby (as he called her lol. we also brought him a prezzie from his new baby sister which he loved. we also tried to keep him involved like picking out her clothing to wear 4 that day or passing me the towel 4 when she got out the bath, their was a incident once when we went to visit family every1 was fussing over keanna after a while tyler bit keanna`s finger but apart from that he is very protective of his sister always hugging, kissing and singing to her

Hi I was worried about my daughter but she loves the new baby. We bought her a gift from the baby, she loves the Wizard of Oz so we bought her some Barbie Wizard of Oz toys. We always make a fuss over how special she is for being the big sister and it worked.
