Hi there, this might be TMI and an old wives tale, but we wanted a girl first time and a friend told me not to orgasm before my hubby as the vagina is too alkaline and kills the male sperm. I dont know if its true but we got our girl, reversed the process second time and got a boy.

For about 75% accuracy in natural gender selection of a girl, you need to know exactly when you ovulate. You should have sex about 2-4 days before ovulation, and then abstain. The theory is that the Y sperm are quicker but die off faster, and the X sperm take longer to reach the egg, but live longer. So in theory, the X sperm should reach your egg when you ovulate, but the Y sperm will have passed on already. I know several couples whom this has worked for.
