steenibambini (125.1 days ago)Usually they say to have your little boy look like Daddy. But if your hubby is having problems, I would seriously consider getting it done. There have been circumstances where men will have to get circumcized as adults, but there have never been any complications because you have gotten it done (ie. there is no reverse surgery). Other pro circumcision: Can reduce risk of penile cancer, can reduce risk of contracting STDs, can reduce risk of infection. Plus if you didn`t do it and your son was 30 and had to get it done, you would feel pretty bad for not having it done when he was younger.
ProudMum84 (125.5 days ago)I have a boy and didn`t get him done... and If I have a boy this time I would still not get him dont (even though daddy is)...
check out this website and tell me you`ll still get it done: http://wreckingboy.livejournal.com/318545.html
or this one: http://www.cps.ca/caringforkids/babies/circumcision.htm
cdr (125.7 days ago)I would have it done...think about his future. Sure some women would not mind but if you looked at the percentage that did....most women would prefer it....
Juniper (125.9 days ago)as the pp`s have said it differs depending on where you are in the world if it`s `the thing to do` or not. Here (Brussels) it`s definitely not the norm... who knows where your son will live one day and what the in thing will be when he`s grown up.
It`s up to you.. do what you feel is right. For me personally it`s a total no no...my son isn`t done and baby #2 won`t be either...
MommaD (127.6 days ago)I work at a hospital and a Urologist I work for said that even though insurance companies may not find it medically necessary, in his professional opinion it reduces risk of infections and cancers.
jenakers (127.9 days ago)I am always amazed at how passionately people take circumcision. I didn`t care on way or another. My husband was circed and wanted his son to be as well. So we did.
MALACHIsMOM (128.5 days ago)My husband is and so our son is and any future sons will be. There is actually plenty of medical evidencce to support the decision and many men have problems either way. If there was not any medical support it would not be allowed in the US. I went ahead because my husband is and that is the only way that I have know men to be. It is a personal decision that should not be criticised either way as long as you take the time to think about it. If you do get it done do it in the hospital the day after he is born.
armymom (128.6 days ago)ur right... its not neccessary.. ppl do it because its more excepted by society. But like u... my husband is not but i plan on circumcising our baby boy so he doesnt have any problems with the ladies! lol. I just think its more attractive as a woman.

JennSever (128.6 days ago)i have two sons and i had then both circ`ed. i think is cleaner and safer all around. i don`t pass judgement on those that don`t get their sons done - its such a personal decision. however, my friends who`s hubby aren`t get hellacious urinary/bladder infections despite the fact that their spouses clean themselves. i think its just a better choice.
Jadens*MaMa (128.7 days ago)we got our son cir. and is was fine he cried only why the doc was doing it and it onty took a couple of mins. By the time we left the doc`s office he wasnt crying anymore...the doc did it wit something called the bella band its a plastic thing they put on it and it falls of in like 8 to 10 days.. so we didnt have to do anything to it afterwards.. it was so easy!!! personally i think its ugly and nasty if men are not cir. and i coldnt even imagine not doing it for my boys!!!!
cherryrose (128.7 days ago)we circumsized our son, if you do get it done, be prepared for the healing process, we werent... It looked infected while healing but the Dr said it was normal and it was, it just scared us b/c we are first time parents...do some research on the pros and cons.
summerisis (128.7 days ago)you need to work this out with your husband. the two of you need to agree .
alex76 (128.7 days ago)As an earlier poster said this causes strong opinions, I wouldnt have it done but it`s your baby and your choice.
MormonBaby (129 days ago)I am having a boy and I told my husband that the decision is completly up to him. I figure that he knows more about weaners than I do. (he had it done, so he wants our boy done too.) My doctor had a big long talk with us about how it really isn`t necessary. But my husband doesn`t want to be different from his son.
anglsfrmhvn (129 days ago)It def is a personal choice...but I can tell you story about my Dad...when he was born he was premature, sick and never circumsized...he went to Vietnam and when he got back he was diagnosed with `croth rot` from being in contaminated swamp waters and being wet all the time....he ultimately was circumsized when he was 21....it was extremely painful and one night while he and my mother slept he got a `pee erection` and my mother suddenly woke because she felt something wet in the bed!! She pulled back the covers to find blood everywhere!! She thought she gother period---but it was my father who was bleeding profusely!! His erection had caused all the stitches to break!! My mother took him to the ER and they had to restich his penis back up!! My Dad is traumatized by it to this day!! So I think if your gonna get it done, do it while he is a baby!! Good Luck!!
P.s...I am having a boy and he is having it done!

RobinG (129.1 days ago)This question has been brought up many times ~ it is a very personal choice and I`ve learned that different parts of the world will effect your view on it ~ there was a forum on this and it was removed because it got very heated and judgemental ~ where I live it is most common and something I wouldnt even consider NOT doing ~ you will see posts here saying it is cleaner to do it and some saying it doesnt make a difference ~ and just as clean to not do it.. only you can decide ((()))
masha (129.1 days ago)i dont have boys. but i always thought that if i did, i would get my son circumsiced. BUT my husband isnt. so i probably wouldnt. id want father and so to be the same. thats just me tho
