I had that problem and switched to soothie bottles and love them plus don`t have to buy drop ins

From what I recall you would have to gently squeeze the air out from the bottom.

yup you have to find like a tv remote control or something small and long enough to fit up there when you set it down. they do have ones that actually have a knob on the outside that pushes the bag up, so thats kind of nice. its kind of a pain but they work great and especially with all of the cancerous plastic babybottles the drop ins and the glass ones are some of the only `really` safe baby bottles out there!
