I put a little red and white poka dot bikini on my daughter and everyone loved it :) I think it`s okay as long as it`s not a string bikini!

Bikinis are adorable on baby girls. Babies have no such thing as modesty or a need for it. A baby should be able to go around naked.

I think it depends on the type of bikini... a normal bikini is really cute... the ones I would never put on my baby are the ones that are trashy looking.. like the triangle top ones..

If your gonna be in your backyard then I would say okay but nowadays there are to many sickos out there and I wouldn`t take mine to public places in one.

my concern wouldn`t be if it is age appropriate or not, it would be how all the pedofiles out there might react. It is not something I would choose to dress my daughter in simply to keep her safe.

They are cute but unfortunately we live in a society these days which makes us scared to put them on kids. My husband said no way when I looked at one in the shop.

My daughter is 12 weeks and has 2 bikinis and a 1 piece. I think they`re fun and funny. Here`s a link if you want to take a look! http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/vips/addvipphotocomments.php?id=summerisis|232884349&vnaam=summerisis and http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/vips/addvipphotocomments.php?id=summerisis|93682562&vnaam=summerisis they`re not the best pics of her... but i love her kinis!

My four year old daughter has a one piece only because she has really fair skin and extremely blond hair and blue eyes that she is prone to burning. But bikinis are so cute on them. She had one before but it was for swimming inside.

My daughter is 3, and I`ve always chose 1 pieces for her. I don`t think little ones need a bikini, but who cares if they have one. Little babies and girls have poochy bellies, so they look kind of funny to me. However, I just bought a bikini for my daughter b/c we are nearing the end of potty training (I hope), and I thought it would be easier to take her to the bathroom if I only had to get her bottoms down instead of the whole thing.

oh, and I have a 6 yr old and almost 8 yr old and they also have bikinis for their swimming suits. I don`t send them to school with their butt cracks and bellies hanging out...they also have positive body images and look appropriate for their age. I don`t think showing their bellies while swimming is a bad thing.

Bikini`s on babies are much cuter and appropriate looking than on some adults! Hahaha...

I definitely think that girls need to wear clothing that covers from the beginning. I hate what they manufacture for girls and grow them up to fast and too provocatively- not to mention put a lot of stress on physical appearance. Then wonder why we have so much teen pregnancy. (I`m not suggesting that a bikini on a baby leads to teen pregnancy.) I just want girls to attract attention to their personality, not their body. This is more of a problem when they are older but it is getting younger all the time. As a teacher, I hate seeing girls butt cracks hang out or their tummies show- on 7 year olds! But- it isn`t the mothers with a sick mind, it`s all the pedaphiles- and there are more than anyone realizes (my husband is an investigator at a supermax prison). So my personal opinion is that it is not a road I would want to start down with a daughter- but keeping it in perspective, it is just a little sweet baby and can sure look cute!

I`d be more worried about sun exposure than if it`s appropriate or not.

I dnt like them on little girls. lil girls are so cute and innocent, parents should keep them that way. plus, more skin exposed equals more chance of developing a burn.

im half and half. to me, it depends on what the bikini looks like. some are insanely adorable on babies. but some are like eye blugers lol. but i found a few for mine that arent too bad :P

  1. Does anyone have a baby with a double-first name? Like David-James? My friend wants to give her baby a double name but she isn`t sure how to fill it out on the birth certificate. She wants it to be David-James and that is what she will call him but she also wants to give him a middle name. Does she need to put a hyphen? We would appreciate any help with this as no one seems to know. Thanks
