Over in the Uk we don`t have baby showers! I really like the idea, but I don`t think any of our families would understand though! x

Just imagine washing loads of new clothes and blankets..heaving up and down stairs with baskets an the summer rushing to ge your babys things done with a huge belly!! that is something I will never do!! But I have definatley noticed that my mothers generation of ppl..always have some crazy opinion about something because things are so diff. now then they were ...Plus I know i dont want to be totally uncomfortable and a heffer at my shower so it will be in august and I`m due in Oct

I am 32 weeks today and just had mine yesterday. I know that many of the woman due around the same time as me (in my weekly forum) are having their showers around now....so like most have said before me...7-8 months.

Depends, I teach so we try to do those things before summer if after summer is too late. I`d say 7-8 months because you need time to put the stuff away and find out what you still need. 9 months is really pushing it and it would be physically exhausting to put all that away and try to get thank yous out before baby!

I had my one big baby shower when my baby was 3 weeks old. I know a lot of mom`s freak out that they don`t have anything for when the baby arrives, but if you already have the crib, blanket, and bedsheet, you`re already set! A baby actually needs very little in the first few weeks of life. You`d be amazed with how little you really need.

i just had mine this past weekend and turned 34 weeks today! :) ... i thought that was perfect.

I also say 7-8 months. 6 months is too early and 9 months is too late. One of my friends had her baby shower at 9 months(I have no idea why) and she didnt even make it to her own babyshower. She was in the hospital going in labor while we were at her babyshower with nothing to do lol.

In your 7th-8th month :) 6 is to early 9 is to late but 7-8 is perfect :)
