mommythethird (74.7 days ago)I was induced with my first and second. Mostly out of convience, but none the less. Also, both were at 39 weeks. Anyway, the first, I was only 1 cm dialated and that way for a few weeks. Once they induced (broke water and pitocin) I progressed normally and delivered vaginally (for both). The pain was very intense and I`m a weenie. I`m sure that if you practice your breathing and are set on no pain meds, you can do it. I`m in a completely different place in my life now and plan to try and go longer with out meds if I can this time around. Good luck to you.
monica9 (75.6 days ago)being induced is not bad at all. they give it to you in intervals every 1/2 hour (well, atleast they did with me) and it was like going into natural labor. it starts off weak and gradually the intensity increases. it will most likely jumpstart natural labor and you wont be on it the whole time so, yes, you will be able to have a natural childbirth if you perfer. good luck and remember, its not that bad being induced.

EMILY JONES (75.8 days ago)hello, first thing i would like to say is congrats.as for me, i was induced at 41 weeks, that was my first pregnancy.i was in labor for about 10 hrs.the first 5 hrs was ok.plus, i was already 3 cm dailated before labor.yes, it was not pleasent with the contractions. so by the 7th hr in labor i did get the EPIDURAL when i was almost 8 cm.i was so so sooo tired cuz i was vary excited knowing i was about to have my baby.i wanted to get some rest.2 hrs later. the meds fadded away.to be real about it.the pain was not that bad.what really got me claiming off the bed was the pressure.thats when i knew i needed to push this kid out asap.lol.after 20 min of pushing my son dominick was born at 7 lbs 13.2 oz 19 inches long.i think it all depends what person u r.some woman can take pain.others cant.good luck....
alex76 (76.7 days ago)I was induced and it ended up in a section due to fetal distress, I didnt have any meds as due to an existing spinal condition it is too risky for me to have epidural. However, if I could have had them I would have, sorry to be frank but getting induced when you`re baby is posterior is agony. They asked me how sore I was and I said I felt like 10 big men were taking swipes at my back with shovels, no joke, so take whatever you can get pain wise
candace3 (77 days ago)Hi!!Was wondering how small your baby is measuring...just curious because mine is small too. I was induced at 37 weeks with my 2nd one, she was only in th 5th percentile. The pitocin does make the contractions stronger than `normal`, but I delivered her just fine with no epidural. I wasn`t dialated at all when I went in, and they started the pitocin at 9am and she was born at 3:06pm. So, it was pretty fast. I am curious about you and your baby and how big he is and what your doctors are thinking, just because i am going through similar things now. Send me a message. Thanks and good luck.
mommy4 (77.2 days ago)I`VE HEARD THAT BEING INDUCED W/O PAIN MEDS MAY BE EXTREMELY PAINFUL...PEOPLE USUALLY TAKE EPIDURAL OR SOME SORT OF ANESTHESIA
