Elizabeth Carrie (81.8 days ago)Well first of all Trampy is SO NOT THE WORD! i think its freakin adorable when they have their ears peirced. Mean sometimes you cant tell the difference from baby boy or girl unless you see something like ears peirced or a bow! but I do agree with waiting till they can make their own decition on it! it is try that they pull them out sometimes and other times they could get infected from their body not being able to fight it. I would wait till at least 2 years or before they understand the concept of ear peircings! plus it can be the first thing you say yes to of somthing they want! :) good luck girl
Harpchick (109.9 days ago)From a physiological standpoint, the shape and proportions of the ear change until about age 5. Most people want the piercing to be in the center of the earlobe at adulthood. If you pierce the ears of an infant, the center of the earlobe may change as the child ages, and the piercings may not be correctly centered when she is done growing. So if positioning is important to you, wait!
weLOVEourKIDZ (115.9 days ago)i was scared to take her so her father took her at 5-6 months girl dont listen to these people on here leaving rude comments if u want ur daughters ears peirce than u do it she is a diva hellllooooooo
daphne (120 days ago)I had mine done at 3 months old and it`s a girl thing, it`s kind of a tradition on my mom`s side of the family and it`s not `trampy`, they get them pierced and they forget about it 20 mins later.
summerisis (120.5 days ago)i agree with zenzabar but i did meet a woman today that said that she was balled for months and months so her mom had her ears pierced. i thought `oh, that`s a different spin on the subject.`
kater (120.9 days ago)i agree with zenzabar, if you child is old enough to tell you they want them, they are old enough to have them
MormonBaby (121.3 days ago)growing up, we weren`t allowed to pierce our until we were 11. by the time I got that old, i wasn`t even interested in it. I didn`t get them done until my 19th birthday. They were a pain even at that age, (i must have pretty senstive skin) I`m 23 now and they still get infected fairly often. I say let the kid choose what they want.
tiredmommy (121.4 days ago)I didn`t have my ears pierced until I was 5 or 6, but my ears must have been very tender b/c they started to tear on their own. I only wore little studs and was old enough to leave them alone, but they just started sliding down creating slits in my ears. We took them out and closed the holes before they slit all the way down. The same thing happened to my cousin - who was about 9 at the time, and her`s did slit all the way down. Now as an adult, her ear looks kind of strange. I would wait. Usually I`d say school-age is fine, but with my experience, I`ll be waiting until my daughter is 8-10.
candace3 (121.4 days ago)My older 2 kids were 5 and 3 and my youngest was 5 months. I wish I would`ve have waited with my youngest, because she doesn`t really like her earings and very seldom wears them. Primarily I got hers done so early, because it didn`t matter what clothing or blankets she had on EVERYONE thought she was a boy...so this way, they knew she was a girl without me having to correct them all the time. My older 2 love their earings and take good care of them. They are now almost 6 and 8. I don`t think it looks `trampy` at all.
kelly.m (121.4 days ago)I had mine done as a 2 year old and I think that is way too young!!!!
Not only like the 2 previous comments say, she will pull them out, but dont you think it looks trampy?
Andrea1222 (121.4 days ago)I agree with zenzabar. my friends baby daughter pulled on them so hard that she ripped them out...her lobes were slit! wait! she will want to play with them...scary
zenzabar (121.4 days ago)When your child can tell you that she wants her ears pierced.
